In Spring 2024, I participated in Studio IV, a 10-week course focused on hospitality design. Working in a team of four, we were assigned the resort hotel typology and tasked with selecting a brand to design a new property for, in a location where that brand does not currently operate.
We chose Auberge Resorts Collection, known for creating luxury properties that reflect the unique character of their surroundings. Our proposed location was New Orleans, a city full of rich culture and history. We aimed to offer guests an immersive, high-end experience that reimagines New Orleans through a refined and luxurious lens.
The project involved redesigning an existing building, which we used as the shell. We were required to keep the original column grid but had full creative freedom over the layout, vertical cores, and façade. Each team member was responsible for different parts of the hotel and contributed to a set of flexible guest suites that could function individually or connect into one larger unit.
My responsibilities included designing the lobby, concierge office, café, staff offices, spa, fitness center, and public restrooms on the ground floor. I also created a King Suite, Queen Suite, and a Living Room Suite, each designed for both standalone and shared use.
All renderings were produced in Revit, with final visual detailing completed in Photoshop, emphasizing both functionality and atmosphere throughout the design.
